Portabella Sliders

Mushrooms:

  • A few Portobello Mushroom tops

  • 1/3 of a cup of bourbon (any brand)

  • A few tablespoons of olive oil

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tsp oregano

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

Combine all ingredients together to make a marinade. Allow your portobellas to soak for at minimum 30 minutes before grilling or pan sautéing.

Add a few toppings and then smash between 2 sides of a sprouted burger bun

  • Avocados

  • Lettuce

  • Tomato

  • Onion

Sprouted bread is where it’s at for ease of digestion. The most common brand of these you’ll find in grocery stores is Ezekiel bread.

Mushrooms are amazingly nutritious and beautiful. Rather than think of them as just a topping, have mushrooms as your main.
