Winter Oats

I have a love - hate relationship with oatmeal. On the one hand I do not like most over-sweetened store bought oatmeal but on the rare occasion that I make it from scratch, it’s extremely nourishing.

To make my Winter Oats you will need:

  • Bob’s Red Mill Steel Cut Oats (or another brand that you prefer)

  • Butter

  • Vanilla Extract

  • Brown Sugar

  • Oat Milk

Bring 3 cups of Oat Milk and 1/2 tsp salt to a boil then add 1 cup of the steel cut oats. Reduce to low heat and let simmer for an additional 10 minutes.

Spoon the Oatmeal mixture into individual serving dishes. Lastly top with butter, brown sugar and vanilla extract and stir.

Top with blackberries or other fruit
