Shed Expectations
My journey with Endometriosis began when I was 16 years old. During my very first period I experienced debilitating pain and abnormal bleeding.
At 16 I was told that I might have trouble with scar tissue from the initial episode and that having children would likely be difficult for me. I have had several surgeries and experienced a world of heartbreak trying to “fix” something that I had no control over.
As I was forced to define what Endometriosis meant to a woman in her late 30’s, I came to understand that there are no quick-fixes in life. There are only obsessions which invite chaos and interrupt our souls true purpose. This philosophy lead me to create Alchemy, a place where pain is transformed into magic.
Work with me to release any stigmas that you have left over from your past and allow the walls of mistrust that you have with your body to come down.
your past is a snare and the future doesn’t care
FEAR = False - Expectation - Appearing - Real
Marketing and advertising cater very well to some of the most common F.E.A.R.s. Keep that in mind as you go about your daily life. Try and put a little bit of space between when you see an advertisement and when you make a choice (to buy something, or to change something about yourself). The less that you rely on external factors the more that you begin to rely on your own authenticity and that is where lasting confidence comes from.
Anxiety and Decision making
Most of the advice on the internet tells you to trust your gut or watch for certain signs to help you decide what to do. OK but what if it’s all a confusing mess for you right now and you can’t make sense of it? That’s valid.
The most important thing that we teach in the Alchemy program is to learn how to trust yourself. How to not make decisions based on fear. Whether that be a fear of the future or a fear of someone else’s reaction. Every time that you make a fear-based choice you are committing to NOT trusting yourself.
Clean house
There is a lot of talk about “self care” these days and it is shown in many forms.
What I often don’t see addressed is the need to inventory your emotions. In the Alchemy program we discuss how this means literally taking the time to “clean house.” Your body is your home and therefore is a physical manifestation of what your soul accumulates. There is not one single person on earth is who does not feel shame or guilt.
Learning to love yourself does not mean that one day you will step into an entirely different life that is free from sin or discomfort. It takes practice to master self love. Inevitably people fall back into their old patterns. Practicing self love means that you can look at your behaviors through a new lens that allows you to forgive and to move forward.
